Club registration fees are paid per season and are outlined on each of the team pages. Contact the Club Treasurer if you have questions.

Before your player attends their first practice, your player(s) must be registered. To complete registration, your player(s) must also be registered with Water Polo West and Water Polo Canada.

 
 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

For some families, their limited budget prevents them from playing. We will do our best to help families in this situation. For example, split payments are possible.

Free Tryout/Waiver Form
To register for a trial session, please email us AND complete a free tryout/waiver form: Registration Form: Free Tryout/Waiver  We will contact you with more information.
 

Volunteer / Fundraising Deposit – not applicable for Spring/Summer 2023 season
Upon registration, a deposit for volunteer fees and fundraising will be required.  A single post-dated cheque (for April 1, 2023), for $200 and payable to Vancouver Vipers Water Polo should be brought to the first practice.
The cheque needs to be submitted to the Registrar or another Exec member by September 27, 2022. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the registered athlete(s) not being able to participate in the program until the cheques are submitted. 
The volunteer deposit will be returned to those families who have fulfilled their volunteer requirements. Details on volunteer opportunities will be shared with families via email.

  • Registering two or more athletes in 11U or above: eligible for a 10% discount on the higher registration fee – enter the promo code: SIBLINGS2023 when registering the older sibling.
  • Late registration: fees are pro-rated if registering after the season begins; email Registration for more information.
  • Credit is not applied for missed practices, games, or tournaments.

2. Water Polo West /Water Polo Canada membership fees

Each player is required to pay a membership fee (which includes insurance) to Water Polo West (WPW) – the provincial governing body (PSO) – and to Water Polo Canada (WPC), the national governing body (NSO). Payment is made in September or when a player joins. Membership fees are not pro-rated. Membership fees for both Water Polo West and Water Polo Canada are valid until August 31, 2024.

3. Payment

  • Club fees can be paid either by credit card or by e-transfer
  • Water Polo West and Water Polo Canada membership fees must be paid by credit card
  • Credit card information is entered once on the registration page and payments are automatically distributed; a 2.35% service charge will be added

Option 2 – payment by e-transfer:

  • If you opt to e-transfer the registration fees, please include the player’s full name

  • I will remember that winning isn’t everything – that having fun, improving skills, making friends, and doing my best are also important.
  • I will acknowledge all good plays and performances – those of my team and my opponents.
  • I will remember that coaches and officials are there to help me. I will accept their decisions and show them respect.
  • I will remember that this is a sport for all ages. I will use appropriate language and behaviors in the dressing rooms and at all facilities during practices, games, and club events.

  • I/We will encourage my child and their teammates to abide by the rules and emphasize sportsmanship.
  • I/We will support my child and their teammates with positive encouragement.
  • I/We will show respect for all players, coaches, officials, club volunteers, and family members.
  • I/We will refrain from public criticism of coaches, officials, opponents, and other club members. Feedback will be directed to the coaches and club executives in a private and constructive manner.
  • I/We will remember that this is a team sport and the attendance of my child has a direct effect on the team. I will ensure attendance at as many games and practices as possible. If absences are unavoidable, I/we will provide adequate notice to coaches and/or team managers.
